After initially charging up listeners with a stream of their "1,000,000 Watts," Georgia metalcore vets Norma Jean have revealed another taste of their Polar Similar. The latest preview is a pounder called "Forever Hurtling Towards Andromeda."
Backed by a massive, though herky-jerked beat, the song unloads a few rounds of hollow-point guitar damage before locking into a serious groove. Frontman Cory Brandan Putman handles the bulk of the screaming on the tune and a bit of rough-necked singing in its melancholic chorus, but he also gets an assist from longtime Coalesce vocalist Sean Ingram in the stomped-out mid-section.
