Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong and Norah Jones have embarked upon an unexpected collaboration in order to cover the Everly Brothers' Songs Our Daddy Taught Us, and now they've shared another album cut with "Silver Haired Daddy of Mine."
The song, which was a hit for Gene Autry and Jimmy Long before the Everlys recorded it, is a vintage country number than finds Jones and Armstrong singing in tight harmony. It's anchored by bouncy bass and some saloon-flavoured piano. Hear it below [via Rolling Stone].
