Norah Jones and Billie Joe Armstrong

'Foreverly' (album stream)

BY Alex HudsonPublished Nov 19, 2013

Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong and Norah Jones stand out as one of the year's most unexpected collaborations, as they have teamed up to cover the Everly Brothers' Songs Our Daddy Taught Us in full. Foreverly is due out on November 25 through Reprise, and it's now available to stream ahead of time.

Unlike Armstrong's usual arena-punk sound or Jones's jazz-pop stylings, this collection finds the pair signing in close harmony while backed by country-flavoured arrangements. They recorded the album over two short sessions, adding up to around nine days in total, while joined by session players Tim Luntzel (bass) and Dan Rieser (drums).

Stream the album ahead of the release date below.
