Ninja High School

"It's All Right To Fight"

BY Cam LindsayPublished Feb 28, 2005

After rocking more house parties on both sides of the border than any other lo-fi, indie-centric hip-hop act out there, Toronto's Ninja High School have prepped a seven-inch release for Germany's acclaimed Tomlab. Part of the label's Alphabet Series, this two-song record is strictly limited to 500 copies worldwide, but is available on the band's website for free. "It's All Right To Fight" is a frantic jumble of funk-filled organs, bouncing beats and gang chants of "You're going home in a fucking ambulance." With the reputation they have for electrifying audiences, somehow their threat doesn't sound farfetched. Hallelujah to that. (www.ninjahighschool.info)
