Recently, many have been speculating that hip-hop couple Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill may have split up, and the former has now confirmed that the relationship is over.
In a tweet this morning (January 5), Minaj confirmed that "yes I am single." She also wished fans the best for 2017 and promised that she would have new work to share "really soon."
In the last couple months, Minaj released a mobile game called Nicki Minaj: The Empire, which featured a new cut called "Ain't Gone Do It." It followed up her "Black Barbies" rework of Rae Sremmurd's hit "Black Beatles."
Mill, meanwhile, hasn't officially commented on the split, but he did recently deliver some new work of his own with a video for "On the Regular" late last year.
Despite the breakup, Mill can at least take solace in the fact that Drake has retired "Back to Back." The diss track against Mill was unleashed in summer 2015 at the height of the feud between the Philadelphia rapper and the 6 God. Drake apparently performed it for the last time last weekend on New Year's Eve.
