As of 2014, it's been 40 years since folk icon Nick Drake passed away at the age of 26. His story will finally be told in full via a new biography.
Nick Drake: Remembered for a While marks the first authorized biography on the artist. It was put together by his sister, Gabrielle Drake, and the rest of the Nick Drake Estate.
The book will include previously unseen photos, as well as handwritten lyrics and rare documents. In addition, it will include interviews with friends, family and collaborators. There's also an article from music writer Pete Paphides.
As if that weren't enough, a deluxe version of the book will include a 10-inch featuring recordings from a previously unreleased BBC John Peel session. The recordings, which come from 1969, include performances of "Time of No Reply," "River Man," "Three Hours," "Bryter Layter" and "Cello Song."
Nick Drake: Remembered for a While is expected to ship in November, and can be preordered here.
