Neneh Cherry recently issued her The Cherry Thing LP, which had the "Buffalo Stance" singer team up with jazz trio the Thing to deliver high-brow covers of the Stooges, Madvillain and more. Now electronic experimentalist Four Tet has joined in on the fun, reworking the troupe's interpretation of Suicide's "Dream Baby Dream," which you can check out in a new video.
The clip has Cherry singing the song while snapping rubber bands at some hanging glockenspiel keys. The rubber bands get their revenge as they clamp Cherry down during a '90s dance beat and sax-skronk-filled mid-section. Also, we're not sure why, but Cherry's lips go from a glossy red hue to a sparkly purple glow as the video progresses. Just something to note.
