Musicians Condemn the Overturning of Roe v. Wade
Taylor Swift, Alicia Keys, Jack White, PUP, Phoebe Bridgers and more have spoken out in support of abortion rights

This includes Taylor Swift, who tweeted that she was "absolutely terrified" that women have lost the "rights to their own bodies." Alicia Keys called the decision "fuckin bullshit," while Jack White made a snarky Instagram post denouncing the US's two-party system and saying that Trump "took the country backwards 50 years." Phoebe Bridgers simply wrote, "fucking evil."
Many Canadians have commented on the news from the US, including Tegan and Sara, PUP, Tanika Charles, Charlotte Day Wilson and others.
Companies including Netflix, Disney, Paramount and Sony have pledged to cover employee travel costs in order to provide abortion access.
I'm absolutely terrified that this is where we are - that after so many decades of people fighting for women's rights to their own bodies, today's decision has stripped us of that. https://t.co/mwK561oxxl

This decision is about more than abortion, it's about who has power over you, who has authority to make decisions for you, and who is going to control how your future turns out~ @nwlc @PPFA @ACLU @SisterSong_WOC pic.twitter.com/52Pj6j36Z1
since the @USSupremeCourt won't take care of us, we have to take care of each other.

50 years. everybody working in reproductive justice warning that Roe needed to be protected, that these dickheads were playing the long game. 50 years of "we gotta win the next election." now this. https://t.co/bVFYD7fK1U

Today the Supreme Court overturned Roe v Wade, a decision which will effectively remove access to reproductive healthcare for many across the US.

Speechless. Striking down Roe v. Wade will have devastating repercussions for so many people. This decision is a slippery slope. What next? If you have the funds, consider giving to https://t.co/ayj3kKeh9e or https://t.co/tM6mL3KzZE

No one, not the government, not politicians, not the Supreme Court should prevent access to abortion, birth control, and contraceptives. People should have the FREEDOM to choose. (1/2) pic.twitter.com/zo67xyzex5

Very interesting, it's the same crowds who were screaming on the mountain tops that their rights and freedoms were infringed upon because they had to wear masks, that are celebrating the rights and freedoms of women, being infringed upon... it's almost as it....nvm.

just because you're not an American citizen does not mean the overturning of Roe V Wade is none of your business. if you support womens rights and human rights you NEED to be vocal about how drastic and appalling the overturning of the constitutional right to an abortion is.
