Taylor Swift may or may not have been dropping hints about Reputation (Taylor's Version) for the last few years, and some fans are convinced the re-recording is finally being announced today at the American Music Awards.
The pop giant is confirmed to make an appearance at tonight's awards ceremony, where she holds the record for the most AMAs ever won (40). This, alongside classic Swiftie numerology and "Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor's Version)" premiering in an episode of The Handmaid's Tale last week, certainly makes it seem like the penultimate re-recorded album is coming soon.
One more far-out theory brings up the lyrics to "Clara Bow," which read in part, "You look like Stevie Nicks in '75, the hair and lips." Because May 26 is Nicks's birthday, and she was 26 in 1975, some fans are taking it as a sign. There are also a few more theories that are a bit of a reach, but to each their own. Check them out below.
This also wouldn't be the first time Swift announced an album at an awards show. She famously announced The Tortured Poet's Department at the 2023 Grammy Awards.
After Reputation (Taylor's Version), the only re-recording left to come from Swift is her 2006 self-titled album.
