Another week brings another new track from former Snailhouse songwriter Michael Feuerstack, who has been incrementally rolling out material from his collaborative Singer Songer LP. The latest cut is the Jessie Stein-assisted "Stories."
This song is a slightly spooky one. The gentle folk rock instrumentation is fairly soft and pretty, but Luyas member Stein gives it a creepy edge with her call-and-response coos.
Singer Songer will arrive on clear blue vinyl on Record Store Day (April 19). CD and digital versions will follow on April 29 through Forward Music/Headless Owl.
