Last year, Metallica looked back to their early beginnings with deluxe reissues of their first two albums Kill 'Em All and Ride the Lightning. Now, the group will be doing the same for their next effort, Master of Puppets.

Today (August 29), Metallica announced that they will be treating their third album, originally released on March 3, 1986, to a deluxe and expanded reissue on November 10 via their own Blackened Recordings. According to a press release, "The album has been remastered for the most advanced sound quality and will be available in various digital and physical configurations."

The reissue will come physically as a standard LP, standard CD, three-CD expanded edition and as a limited-edition deluxe box set. The reissue will also arrive digitally.

The expanded edition will include previously unreleased demos, rough mixes, interviews, live tracks and a 28-page booklet. The box set, meanwhile, will include a 108-page hardcover book including never before seen photos, outtakes and previously unreleased interviews, three LPs, 10 CDs, a cassette, two DVDs, a lithograph, a folder with handwritten lyrics, and a set of six buttons.

Of course, Metallica's last studio album was last year's Hardwired…To Self-Destruct.
