Megan Thee Stallion is officially a certified free agent. Amid her ongoing legal battle with recording company 1501 Certified Entertainment — with whom she has historically met her fair share of judiciary strugglesover the definition of an album, the rapper has revealed that she is not currently signed to any label and has no intentions of changing that ahead of her next music project.

The artist born Megan Pete went on Instagram Live yesterday (October 12) to update her fans on new music, reassuring them that she is indeed working on the follow-up to 2022's Traumazine without a label home.

"This part of my album is definitely very much funded by Megan Thee Stallion because we're trying to get off… Y'all know what's the tea. But I have no label right now," she said during the livestream. "We're doing everything funded straight out of Megan Thee Stallion's pockets."

Meg continued, "The budget is coming from me. Motherfucking Hot Girl Productions! The next shit y'all about to see is all straight from Megan Thee Stallion's brain, Megan Thee Stallion's wallet. We in my pockets, hotties, so let's do our big one."

"I don't want to sign to a new label right now because I just want to do it myself," she added.

Despite being "excited" to self-fund her music, the rapper admitted she's still searching for a new label. Having recently made her theatrical debut in the absurd Dicks: The Musical, the self-referential multi-hyphenate should have her pick of the hot-girl pack.
