For most bands, a live performance of a recent single would take three or four minutes. The Mars Volta, however, are not your average band, as evidenced by this epic-length rendition of "The Malkin Jewel" from their recent Noctourniquet LP.
This clip is 15 and a half minutes long. It captures the prog rock experimentalists at their most sonically adventurous, and the tune includes dramatic crescendos and slinky funk comedowns in its complex structure. As for the accompanying video, it's a restrained, black and white affair that shows the band performing on stage.
