The Marked Men put the pedal to the floor and speed through a series of hyperactive punk tunes on their third full-length disc. With most songs clocking in at two minutes or less in length, the group waste little time getting to the point. Featuring former members of Texas the Reds, the Marked Men show a similarity to their former band with a prominent Ramones influence and a rapid-fire musical approach. The Marked Men, however, arent quite as venomous as the Reds and instead show an increased focus on melody. Songs such as "Sully My Name and "Its Not a Crime also nod towards60s rocknroll such as the Kinks. Racing through 13 songs in less than 30 minutes, Fix My Brain offers a solid collection of power pop.
