Ahead of the arrival of her new album, Weird Faith, Madi Diaz has announced a run of North American tour dates for early next year — shared alongside her latest single, the Kacey Musgraves duet "Don't Do Me Good."
After kicking off the tour in Morgantown, MV, on January 14, Diaz will hit the road again in February, joined by Olivia Barton, Jack Van Cleaf and/or Daniel Nunnelee on select dates. The singer-songwriter will come to Canada in March for two shows, playing Toronto's Danforth Music Hall on March 3 and Vancouver's Fox Cabaret on March 25. She wraps the run on April 4 in Los Angeles.
Of her sweeping, twangy new single, Diaz explained, "I wanted this song to feel like calling your friend. That moment of needing to commiserate and to have that person say, 'Yeah, I've been there,' and share that experience with you."
"I am so happy Kacey said 'Yes' when I asked her to sing on 'Don't Do Me Good,'" the artist added. "This song would have been so awfully lonely without her and I am so grateful I get to hear her voice on this with mine."
