Earlier this year, we declared Toronto-based dream popster Luna Li the "breakout star of lockdown," and she's continuing to shine bright with the release of her surreal new "Afterglow" video.
Luna Li's dreamy, harp- and violin-bolstered soundscapes are a balm for self-doubt, which is furthered by the new video, directed by Rosanna Peng. The clip first finds bandleader Hannah Bussiere Kim dancing and playing her instruments in a forest while her her bandmates — Sabrina Carrizo Sztainbok, Hallie Switzer and Char Aragoza — paint self-portraits.
The artworks come to life, doling out some pretty harsh criticism to their creators, but it's nothing that Bussiere Kim's fairy dust can't fix.
