Lower Dens' Jana Hunter seemed to click with the Horseshoe crowd right off the bat. When "To Die In L.A" was met with tech issues before it even really began, Hunter passed the time charmingly and casually with some questions about the smell of Canadian money; as soon as the bassist sorted the issue out, the quartet quickly kicked back into high gear, strumming crystalline riffs that mesmerized the crowd.

Each song had fans dancing harder and singing louder, with Hunter's impeccable range on full display during "Sucker's Shangri-La," a spellbinding performance met with silent sways and big smiles. "Non Grata" got the room on full bounce, as rhythmic bass quivers incited grooves felt from head to toe.

By the two song warning, Lower Dens had the crowd in the palms of their hands, and the quickly overcame a final small tech issue before the ending the night with guitars raised high, ripping through the motorik pulses and cymbal crashes of "Brains," as fans clapped over the chaos and Hunter exited the stage, with the band left roaring away before exiting to a huge ovation.
