Vancouver Islanders Ocie Elliott — Sierra Lundy and Jon Middleton — return today with a new EP entitled A Place.

After meeting while playing at a festival on Salt Spring Island, the duo's musical connection sparked into a partnership that first blossomed on 2017's EP. Their 2018 single "Run to You" garnered syncs on several TV shows, including Grey's Anatomy, Batwoman and Legacies.

Since then, Ocie Elliott have continued to release a steady stream of nuanced folk tunes, sharing two EPs — In That Room and Tracks — in 2020 and again this year with Slow Tide and A Place, which is led by the tender single "Wait for You."

"A Place is a collection of songs written mainly during the summer of 2020," the duo said in a statement. "Primarily centred around the acoustic guitar, these songs reflect a summer spent off the road reflecting upon topics of love, loss, companionship and home."

This synergistic pairing find soft chemistry in their vocal harmonies and empathetic storytelling. Ocie Elliott's soundscapes are stripped down to simplicity that's both serene and mournful with Lundy and Middleton's sincere ruminations on the human condition. Each track is a direct invitation to the listener; six strings tugging on the heart.
