Kitchener-Waterloo grunge/metalcore outfit Sierra Pilot haven't slowed down once in 2024, and this week is no different: they've just released their brand-new EP, Karma, and they're ready to unload its songs on you this month as they tour across the continent.
Exuding a "greasy, obnoxious charm," as per press notes, Karma sees the band team up with Taylor Perkins of Bleeker (on "Hollow"), as well as JUNO Award-winner Clayton Bellamy and Myke Penny from the Jailbirds (on "Golden Cage").
The EP arrives just as the band return to the road following a late-March tour. "At the end of March we wrapped up an 11-date Western Canadian tour as direct support for rock legends Skid Row and Buckcherry," lead vocalist Taylor Leith said in a release. "It was our first time performing in Western Canada and we were blown away by how enthusiastic the audiences were in every city."
He continued. "I think what we were most surprised by was how many people took the time to talk to us at the merch table after each show. We sold five times the amount of merch we thought we would too, which was an added bonus!"
Hopefully, the group are able to rake it in again while they continue to tour North America.
