Lisa Marie Presley has died. The musician, who was the only child of Elvis Presley and the sole heir to his estate, was 54.
She died yesterday (January 12) after being rushed to the hospital earlier in the day. She experienced a full cardiac arrest at home in Calabasas, CA, the Associated Press reports.
"It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us," her mother Priscilla Presley said in a statement. "She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known."
Presley released three albums between 2003 and 2012. The first of them, To Whom It May Concern, was particularly successful, reaching No. 5 on the Billboard charts in the US and being certified Gold.
Presley was married four times, including high-profile marriages to Michael Jackson (1994–1996) and Nicolas Cage (2002–2004). She had four children, including actor Riley Keough. Her son Benjamin Keough died in 2020.
