Lil Nas X, Lizzo, Normani and Many More Join 'The Proud Family' Revival Series

The show's original voice cast returns with dozens of guest stars and some new recurring characters

It's the 20th anniversary of the original airdate of The Proud Family, and to celebrate, the beloved animated show has announced a wild list of guest stars for its upcoming revival series, The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, set for a 2022 release on Disney+

Lil Nas X, Lizzo, Normani, Chance the Rapper, Tiffany Haddish, Leslie Odom Jr., Tina Knowles, Jaden Smith and Marsai Martin are joining the voice cast in guest roles, among many, many more from every corner of Hollywood. 

A handful of new recurring stars were also announced today, with Keke Palmer appearing as Maya Leibowitz-Jenkins; Billy Porter and Zachary Quinto as her dads Randall and Barry; A Boogie Wit da Hoodie (real name Artist Dubose) as Maya's gamer brother Francis; Asante Blackk as Penny's boyfriend Kareem; Raquel Lee Bolleau, who will return as Nubia Gross; and Marcus T. Paulk, who'll return as Penny's classmate Myron.

Plus, as was previously reported, original voice cast members Kyla Pratt, Tommy Davidson, Paula Jai Parker, Jo Marie Payton, Karen Malina White, Soleil Moon Frye, Alisa Reyes and Cedric the Entertainer are all returning.
