If you can believe it, it's been almost six years since X Factor-formed girl group Fifth Harmony went on indefinite hiatus to pursue solo careers. And that was after former member Camila Cabello released her first solo album, Camila, and had a huge radio hit with "Havana" in her pre-Shawn Mendes era. All of this is to say: it feels like it's been forever that we've been waiting for the member of the group with arguably the most star power, Normani, to announce her own debut solo offering — and the moment has finally arrived.
Well, kind of. Forthcoming through RCA Records, the album is called Dopamine, and the artwork features the artist riding a matte black rocket ship in some BDSM lingerie. There's still no release date or any sort of tracklist details yet, but you can presave it on the amusingly titled wheresthedamnalbum.com.
To further complete the timeline of Normani's promising solo career, she featured on tracks with the likes of Jessie Reyez, Calvin Harris, Khalid and Sam Smith ahead of releasing her own breakthrough single "Motivation" in 2019. 21 Savage later hopped on a remix of that, and Normani had another guest spot on Cardi B's "Wild Side" in 2021.
