Liam Gallagher is set to be the latest star to perform on the long-running concert special series MTV Unplugged.
Gallagher will record a performance on August 3 in Hull, during which he will play songs from his debut solo record As You Were, his new album Why Me? Why Not. and, of course, Oasis classics.
The program will air on MTV UK on September 23.
Artists who have previously performed for the MTV series include JAY-Z, Nirvana, Alice in Chains and Lauryn Hill.
Oasis were invited to record an MTV Unplugged performance in 1996, but Gallagher pulled out of the gig at the last minute, leaving his brother Noel to take over lead vocals. The episode was never officially released.
Gallagher's sophomore solo effort Why Me? Why Not. is due out September 20 via Warner.
