Lair of the Minotaur

Combining live footage from the past four years with two edits of their absolutely insane "War Metal Battle Master" video, this DVD is amazing. With an uncensored cut that features beheadings, vampirism, nudity, cannibalism and, well, metal in the first two minutes, apocalyptic hellions Lair Of The Minotaur prove themselves crazier than Charles Manson and more gruesome than most of the "horror" schlock piling up on movie rental shelves. Not only is the song itself great but when coupled with boobs, blood and double bass, this four-minute short film is simply incredible. The inclusion of live tracks, ranging from 2004 to the present, in various states of bootleg feels like a bonus in itself yet the band have added special features anyway. While not exactly superior, the director's behind the scenes interviews and making of documentary for the shooting of "War Metal Battle Master" are rather informative and more importantly, true-to-life, as opposed to the usual baloney featurettes.
