Lady Gaga has been slowly teasing her seventh studio album (or LG7, if we wanna speak in Little Monster) for a while, but now she's finally given some specifics.
In a new Vogue profile published today (September 5) Gaga has confirmed that LG7 is arriving in February 2025, with the lead single dropping sometime next month. That second bit was already revealed in a note posted by Gaga on socials yesterday (September 4), where she laid out her upcoming schedule — including plenty of press for Joker: Folie à Deux.
Gaga didn't reveal any specifics about the new album in her interview with Vogue's Jonathan Van Meter, but she did say this:
There's a lot of pain associated with this adventure, and when I start to explore that pain it can bring out another side to my artistry. When I'm here at this studio, I'm relaxed and I am able to face my demons and what's remarkable is… that's the music. I'm able to hear it back.
Van Meter also described a song that Gaga played for him as "intense and ominous — an old-school Gaga banger, unsettling but also buoyant."
She also said she's been working on a separate surprise project, and said that she's been listening to Charli XCX, Chappell Roan, Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift and Kesha.
