American alternative rock outfit L7 have announced a North American tour in celebration of their seminal 1992 album Bricks Are Heavy's 30th anniversary. The album is also being treated to a limited edition vinyl reissue, due September 30 on Licorice Pizza Records.
The North American trek begins this fall, with its opening night taking place at Nashville, TN's Brooklyn Bowl on October 3. The 17-date run includes two dates north of the border, with the four-piece taking to the stages of Toronto's Opera House and Vancouver's Rickshaw Theatre on October 10 and 22, respectively. They'll wrap up with a double-header in Los Angeles on October 27 and 28.
Tickets for the tour go on sale tomorrow, April 15, at 1 p.m. ET here. See a full list of dates below.
In a statement about the gold and black vinyl reissue of Bricks Are Heavy, vocalist/guitarist Donita Sparks said:
After all these years, we began thinking it is strange that we have never received a proper accounting of actual sales to date for this record. We were so close to Certified Gold 30 years ago, surely we have crossed the line by now ... so we thought to hell with it, we are declaring ourselves Gold and making our own gold records. Get 'em while they are hot
The record is said to include never-before-seen content and "over the top packaging," though a tracklisting suggests that no additional songs will be included. Pre-orders for Bricks Are Heavy (30th Anniversary) are available here.
