King Krule Announces New Album 'Space Heavy,' Shares "Seaforth"

The follow-up to 2020's 'Man Alive!' arrives in June

Craggy-voiced experimentalist King Krule has announced his latest album. The British songwriter also known as Archy Marshall has announced Space Heavy, due out June 9 via Matador, and he has shared the single "Seaforth."

A press release explains that the album was written from 2020 to 2022 during trips between London and Liverpool, where Marshall was splitting his time. The announcement explains, "Befitting an album quite literally written on the commute between the two places he called home, Archy found himself fascinated by the notion of 'the space between' — the space haunted by dreams of love, touching a narrative of lost connection, losing people and situations to the guillotine of the universe."

The resulting 15-track opus was fleshed out with Marshall's longtime bandmates. Get a taste of the album by checking out the video for "Seaforth" below, and check out the Space Heavy tracklist below that. We're guessing Marshall got hungry on some of those commutes, because song titles include "Empty Stomach Space Cadet" and "Hamburgerphobia."

Space Heavy follows King Krule's 2020 album Man Alive! This is his fifth album overall, and his fourth as King Krule.
