Kevin Gates has proclaimed himself as the voice of the people after doubling down on his comments about drinking Beyoncé's lemonade.
The controversial bar — featured in a freestyle he dropped last week called "Super General" — was the topic of conversation when the rapper sat down on Bootleg Kev's podcast for a new interview.
The freestyle covers Gates's relationship with the perception of his body and his usage of drugs as a coping mechanism before making the (obvious!) chronological step into talking about drinking Beyoncé's piss. He offers the following poetry: "Don't know if they into swinging, Beyoncé need to let me hit her / Make her piss all on this dick, respectfully, her body shiver."
When asked how much flak he received for the line, Gates bares his soul: "Ain't nobody say nothing to me. To be honest, and this with all due respect, that's one of the most beautiful women in the world. I sit in the trap with all the monsters; they say the same thing. All I did was say what everybody think. You're the most beautiful woman in the world. I would drink your piss. Like, what the fuck? Come on, man. Right here in my mouth." A man of passion! Has he mentioned how much he respects her?
The rapper added: "I speak for the n****s that's incarcerated, that sit there and watch these people on TV and everything; it's what everybody thinking."
