Kendrick Lamar

'Hub City Threat, Minor the Year' (mixtape)

BY Alex HudsonPublished Apr 15, 2013

Although 25-year-old rap phenom Kendrick Lamar didn't truly hit it big until last year, he got his start in the business at an early age. He reportedly made his debut mixtape at age 16, and that collection is now making the rounds on the internet.

The mixtape is alternately called Hub City Threat, Minor the Year and Youngest Head Nigga in Charge (both titles appear on the mixtape's CD artwork, which you can see above). It was originally released back when Lamar still went by the name K-Dot.

Although Lamar hasn't spoken out to confirm the origin of this mixtape, you can listen to the copy of Hub City Threat, Minor the Year that's been circulating below [via AudioMack].
