Katy Perry is attempting to avoid her third consecutive flop era by announcing her sixth album 143 is coming on September 20.
Still aiming to fit in with her fellow kids and the Bushwick gays, the singer named her album after the very millennial text abbreviation for "I love you." "I set out to create a bold, exuberant, celebratory dance-pop album with the symbolic 143 numerical expression of love as a throughline message," Perry said in a statement [via Variety].
The announcement comes a day before her track "Woman's World" drops, which boasts Arca's familiar froot on the cover. It doesn't sound very good from the various teases she's dropped, which is made worse by the fact Dr. Luke produced it.
Though One of the Boys and Teenage Dream still admittedly go off, it's hard to imagine Perry throwing a curveball after 2020's Smile and its predecessor Witness.
