Kanye West Seemingly Threatens to Pull Out of Coachella If Billie Eilish Doesn't Apologize to Travis Scott

"NOW I NEED BILLIE TO APOLOGIZE BEFORE I PERFORM"

The artist formerly known as Kanye West has demanded that Billie Eilish apologize to Travis Scott for supposedly insulting him by asserting the need for audience safety at one of her recent concerts.

Additionally, Ye seemingly threatened to pull out of his Coachella headlining set if Eilish doesn't make amends with Scott, posting a screenshot of a @RAPSEATV post that reads: "Billie Eilish dissed Travis Scott at her concert after she stopped the show to give her fan an inhaler! 'I wait for the people to be okay before I keep going.'"

The post ran alongside an all-caps caption with Ye's demands:

COME ON BILLIE WE LOVE YOU PLEASE APOLOGIZE TO TRAV AND TO THE FAMILIES OF THE PEOPLE WHO LOST THEIR LIVES NO ONE INTENDED THIS TO HAPPEN TRAV DIDN'T HAVE ANY IDEA OF WHAT WAS HAPPENING WHEN HE WAS ON STAGE AND WAS VERY HURT BY WHAT HAPPENED AND YES TRAV WILL BE WITH ME AT COACHELLA.

He added: "NOW I NEED BILLIE TO APOLOGIZE BEFORE I PERFORM."

Both West and Eilish are scheduled for headlining slots at the Indio, CA festival, which is due to take place from April 15 to 17 and 22 to 24.

While Eilish didn't mention Scott directly, it has been assumed by many that the comments she made about crowd safety at her February 5 concert in Atlanta were in response to the deadly tragedy at Scott's Astroworld Festival back in November 2021.

UPDATE (2/11, 10:58 a.m. ET): Eilish has clarified that she was "just helping a fan" and "literally never said anything about Travis" in a comment posted to West's Instagram. It's unclear if she has bent to West's demands and apologized to Scott.
