Kanye West Drops 2024 US Presidential Bid

Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos

Great news for anyone tired of experiencing brain rot: Kanye West has ended his campaign in the 2024 US presidential election before it really began.

Late last year, West's presidential bid became apparent after a video of him working on his campaign with far-right commentator Milo Yiannopoulos surfaced. Now, his lawyer has confirmed to Rolling Stone that "He's not a candidate for office in 2024."

While it would be on-brand for the famously fickle rapper to back-pedal, a source with knowledge on West's political committee, Kanye 2020, said, "There's no plan to do that," and that "there's no campaign structure or anything along those lines in place." According to them, the idea that YE24 could come back into commission is "beyond remote."

Yiannopoulos was fired by West one month into his campaign. Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes filled the role until May, when Yiannopoulos returned as the self-proclaimed "director of political operations" of "YE24."

Despite this, an October filing with the Federal Election Commission by Kanye 2020 does not list Yiannopoulos on the payroll, with treasurer Hassan Sheikh appearing to run the committee.

West ran for president in 2020, only receiving 60,000 votes across 12 states. Let's hope this is the last we'll hear of his political ambitions.
