After hearing Jessie Ware's Cinderella cover earlier in the week, we're now being treated to "Biscuits" baker Kacey Musgraves' We Love Disney contribution, a countrified take on Mary Poppins palette-cleanser, "A Spoonful of Sugar."
Musgraves doesn't adopt a Julie Andrews-style Brit accent for the famous movie number, instead bringing the tune down south for a thistle-chewin' hoedown. Banjos are plucked, rhythms are shuffled, and Musgraves does a sweet job of explaining how to rally behind our daily chores.
The cover is done in a most delightful way, and you can check it out for yourself down below.
As previously reported, We Love Disney also features classic House of Mouse cuts as interpreted by Ariana Grande, Fall Out Boy, Jhené Aiko and more. It arrives October 30 via Verve Records/Walt Disney Records.
