Edmonton's very own k.d. lang is (finally) being inducted into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame later this month at the annual Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) Awards — which will see the singer-songwriter take the stage with her old band, the Reclines, for the first time in 35 years for a special performance.

k.d. lang and the Reclines formed when the CanCon icon was just 21 and responded to a classified ad in the local newspaper seeking musicians to join a country-swing ensemble. They went on to release their first EP together in 1983, followed by the 1984 full-length A Truly Western Experience.

As lang started growing into a household name in her own right, their last album together was 1989's Absolute Torch and Twang. That album includes "Big Boned Gal," which they're expected to perform at the ceremony in Edmonton on September 14, airing live on CTV.
