Thanks to his impressive filmography, the works of John Carpenter have been with some of us for years. Though we know plenty of his soundtracks by heart, we've yet to experience it live. Fortunately, next year, a John Carpenter live show will finally become a reality.
Next year, the soundtrack genius will headline ATP Iceland, which runs from July 1 to 3 in the former NATO base Ásbrú. He'll perform in a band that includes his son Cody Carpenter and his godson Daniel Davies (son of Kinks dude Dave Davies). They'll be backed by a full live band, as well as a "spectacular stage production."
Carpenter is expected to perform a mix of his iconic soundtracks and his recent Lost Themes. Watch a brief promotional video for the appearance below.
If you can't make it to ATP, there's a chance he'll perform elsewhere. The artist recently teased the possibility of a tour, along with a forthcoming second album.
