After completing the Western leg of his Harvest Highway tour earlier this season, Jimmy Rankin is due to head back home to the East Coast for a run of eight shows.
Kicking off tonight in New Glasgow, NS, the Rankin Family band member will continue the trek with shows in Summerside, Fredericton, Miramichi, Moncton, Richibucto, Truro and Glace Bay, where he'll conclude the tour on December 2.

"I've travelled around the world and I've lived in other places, and I think like a lot of East Coasters, I feel a profound connection to the place," Rankin said in a release. "People really feel they need to come back here. It's where they're from, after all. It's where their roots are."
For Harvest Highway, Rankin teamed up with fellow East Coaster Joel Plaskett — who produced and played multiple instruments on the album — at the artist's Fang Recording in Dartmouth. JP Cormier, Ron Hynes, Dale Murray, Jordan Murphy and Madison Violet also contributed to the record, which Rankin said he's "been working toward ... for [his] entire career."
