The lone Canadian on the roster of UK label Hyperdub, Hamilton native Jessy Lanza was successful in demonstrating just what it was that made the electronic imprint take notice of her. Armed with only two keyboards and a laptop, Lanza controlled every bit of the stage show herself as she jumped between devices to trigger a number of booming, danceable beats and synthesizers. It was certainly no easy feat for one who is also expected to sing and play keys, but she was able to control everything with only a few minor hiccups while looking neither overly focused or robotic.

A tasteful combination of pop, R&B, and the brand of electronic music her label is known for, Lanza's delicate voice sat nicely in amongst the heavy bass and intricate drum programming. With a set dominated by material from her debut, Pull My Hair Back, the hometown crowd was quite receptive to the material, dancing and rewarding her with a warm reception at the end of each track.
