After teaming up for Still Young, a Neil Young covers EP released in honour of the rock legend's 74th birthday last year, Laura Stevenson and Jeff Rosenstock have paired up again to release a year-encompassing acoustic song titled "Caring."
The track has been released as a part of Rosenstock's 2020 Dump series on Bandcamp, where he's been sporadically sharing one-off tracks recorded throughout the year, beginning in the early stages of lockdown in April.
The latest was recorded over the last couple of months in isolation, with Stevenson on back-up vocals and Dan Potthast on pedal steel. "Song of the year of the century / I wanna wake in a new country / One without famine or poverty / No elite," they sing.
The prolific Rosenstock kept busy this year despite all 2020's obvious hurdles, releasing his politically-charged punk rock album NO DREAM back in May through Polyvinyl.
