Jason Collett has been hosting his annual Basement Revue in Toronto for more than a decade, and it will return again this year for its 13th instalment.
The weekly December event has been hosted at the Dakota Tavern and Longboat Hall in years past, but will be trying out a new venue called Paradise this year.
The restored cinema will open to the public in December, and Collett will host shows each Thursday throughout the month on December 5, 12, 19 and 26.
As always, the shows will be filled with performances and readings from a range of special guests. The lineup of performers has not been announced.
Past performers include Broken Social Scene, Feist, the Sadies, Gord Downie, Daniel Lanois and Rufus Wainwright, while literary voices like Margaret Atwood, Sheila Heti and Miriam Toews have also made appearances.
Tickets for each of this year's events are $30 and are currently available here.
