As previously reported, Janelle Monáe's upcoming The Electric Lady LP is set to feature a to-be-detailed guest appearance from Prince, but the Purple One has also put his prints on the record's first single "Q.U.E.E.N." with a funky new remix.
Prince's redo doesn't shy away from the powerful vocals of Monáe and guest singer Erykah Badu, but he definitely dials down the original's swanky guitar riff. Mostly, he supports the vocals with a rumbling synth-bass and an early '90s dance-pop backbeat, à la "Get Off."
