We're still waiting for James Franco's band Daddy to release their Smiths-inspired album Let Me Get What I Want, but now the unpredictable actor has unveiled another tribute project. This time, he's working on a book about his friend, noir-pop singer Lana Del Rey.
The book is called Flip-Side: Real and Imaginary Conversations with Lana Del Rey and its release is still a ways away, as it's due out on March 15 of 2016 through powerHouse Books. The paperback was co-penned with author David Shields and is just 100 pages long.
There's no official synopsis just yet, but Franco previously V Magazine, "I wanted to interview Lana for a book and she said, 'Just write around me, it's better if it's not my own words. It's almost better if you don't get me exactly, but try.'"
Flip-Side can be pre-ordered through distributor Penguin Random House's online store. It costs $22.50 USD ($29.33 CAD).
Meanwhile, Del Rey has an album called Honeymoon due out in September.
Thanks to Stereogum for the tip.
