As previously reported, prog-metal guitar genius Aaron Marshall is due to drop his next Intervals LP this Friday (December 4). While we'd recently heard a teaser trailer of what all is on the project's forthcoming The Shape of Colour, the entirety of its tech-style textures are streaming in full right now.
The album kicks off with the previously teased "I'm Awake," a slippery piece full of rippled solos and odd time signature changes. Occasional BADBADNOTGOOD collaborator Leland Whitty adds a bit of brassiness to the band's jittery "Fable" via his blasted sax. Elsewhere, Intervals are joined on their hard-charged prog platter by Plini and Nick Johnston, the latter assisting on the heavily shredded but jazz chord-blaring "Slight of Hand."
You can stream the full set below, courtesy of Guitar World, while the self-released album hits retailers on Friday.
