Intervals Grab Protest the Hero, BADBADNOTGOOD Collaborators for 'The Shape of Colour'

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Nov 6, 2015

Ontario prog-metal project Intervals are returning as a much different band than the one that put together last year's A Voice Within. At the root of it all, though, is founder and six-string shredder Aaron Marshall, who will explore The Shape of Colour on December 4.

While 2014's A Voice Within was the first to feature vocalist Mike Semesky, the upcoming eight-song collection brings the band back to their instrumental roots. The core lineup for the album is guitarist and songwriter Marshall, bassist Cameron McLellan (Protest the Hero) and drummer Travis Orbin.

Beyond that, the record also features a handful of guest appearances. "Fable," for instance, has BADBADNOTGOOD collaborator Leland Whitty slapping down some sax, while other contributors include Plini and Nick Johnston. You can find the full breakdown via the tracklisting below.

Pre-orders have already gone live for The Shape of Colour, and the album is currently being teased with a sampler of snippets, which you'll find beneath the track info. Pre-orders can be found here.
