In case the millions of albums sales and ever-growing Juggalo fanbase haven't made it clear over the last couple of decades, Insane Clown Posse are master marketers. Looking to expand their reach from the Gathering festival into Magic: The Gathering-style gameplay, ICP have now delivered a tabletop board game called Into the Echoside.
Billed as a "fast-paced strategic deckbuilding" and modelled after games like Ascension and Dominion, Into the Echoside finds two to four players tasked with collecting cards with various abilities. Whoever yields the most valuable deck by the end of the game wins — and is no doubt encouraged to dump a two-litre of Faygo on the playing field before letting out a hearty "whoop whoop!"
The game is set in "a world inspired by the music of Insane Clown Posse, the Dark Carnival and Juggalo culture," with players being able to nab cards of head honchos Shaggy 2 Dope and Violent J, as well as fictional characters like the Great Milenko, the Ringmaster and a flying nutsack called Super Balls.
Real-life ICP associates Vanilla Ice, Boondox and Tech N9ne are also in the game. All of these clowns are separated into crews like Dark Carnival, Psychopathic and Underground.
If you want to get a deeper tutorial, the band have uploaded a thorough, hour-plus "how to play" video for Into the Echoside, which you can see down below.
