Impaled

Cool little stop-gap EP here from one of modern day gore grind's best acts, California's Impaled. Along with a video clip, this fun frolic through forensics also includes two live songs that show the band's wonderful ability to not take themselves too seriously ("I wanna see you headbang... until death!"). Two covers are also dissected and left on the viewing table (or whatever), one of which happens to be a very unlikely Nirvana cover ("Tourettes"). There's also a couple new tunes here, which show the band in fine form, absolutely shredding their way through Necroticism-era Carcass melodies and blast beats. Like peers Exhumed, Impaled does this stuff so damn good it's hard to not get caught up in the gory fun of it all.
