Ice-T Dropped Some Harsh Truths About His Father-in-Law Battling COVID-19

And Twitter got pretty upset about the whole thing

BY Brock ThiessenPublished Nov 30, 2020

Ice-T has ruffled a lot of feathers after posting that his father-in-law has been in the ICU battling COVID-19, urging Americans to wear a mask while reminding them that COVID is not a game.

The musician/actor took to his Twitter on Sunday (November 29) to tweet about his wife Coco Austin's 63-year-old father Steve Austin, who has been hospitalized with the deadly virus.

"My father-in-law 'Coco's dad' was a serious 'No Masker' [when] COVID hit him," Ice-T shared tweeted. "Pneumonia in both lungs….40 days in ICU close to death….Now he's on Oxygen indefinitely. Ohhhh he's a believer now….#COVIDisNotAGame."

As if the words weren't strong enough, he also included quite the frightening photo.
Quickly, however, Ice-T began attracting a lot of heat over the post, with many accusing him of being pretty cold. This led Ice-T to quickly go on the defensive, and unload the following.

Clownass, If I’m willing to use a family member that I love, as an example of someone coming close to death from a virus that I assume you think is fake.. And I’m trying to warn people.. Then it must be serious to me. Brandon you’ve got a lotta nerve..

What would cause somebody to post something like this? It totally reads like schadenfreude on your own father in law. Plenty of “pro-maskers” have met the same or worse fates. We don’t celebrate ppl getting sick so we can have our “told you so” moment. That’s your FAMILY. Gross.
