HXLT

"Together" (ft. Kathleen Hanna)

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Feb 8, 2016

It may be a bit off-brand, but HXLT has welcomed us to G.O.O.D. Mondays by streaming a new tune from his forthcoming self-titled debut. A duet with Bikini Kill/Julie Ruin frontwoman Kathleen Hanna, the song is a united-we-stand-type anthem titled "Together."

The track is a somewhat punky, distortion charged number about standing together in the face of adversity. Whether half-singing in the verses or shouting in the chorus, HXLT talks about breathing "the common people's breath," and standing hand in hand with fellow freedom fighters, including guest vocalist Hanna.

"Make a change, choose to fight," they sing in unison.

You'll find their rallying cry below, while HXLT's debut LP for G.O.O.D. Music arrives February 26.
