HXLT Grabs Kathleen Hanna for G.O.O.D. Music Debut

While Kanye West fans are hungrily eyeing their social media feeds for the next single drop from his "G.O.O.D. Fridays" series, it's a pretty special day for G.O.O.D. Music signee HXLT too. The artist has just unveiled the details behind his self-titled debut for the imprint, which is now due to drop February 26.

A press release describes HXLT as a "punk-minded crooner," with his 12-song full-length said to sit somewhere between the sound of English post-punks Joy Division and West Coast rap legend Dr. Dre. The solo artist has been working on the record for five years, producing the bulk of the set on his own.

While billed as a solo album, HXLT does feature guest vocals on "Together" from iconic Bikini Kill/Julie Ruin frontwoman Kathleen Hanna, while the album's "Guitar" was produced by Mano (the Weeknd).

Down below, you'll find the album info, as well as the time-travellin' new video for HXLT's punk-and-pop-mixing "Sick." The video also acts as a tribute to Chicago DJ TIMBUK2, who passed away last December following a battle with cancer.
