Toronto venue Hugh's Room Live got a (literal) new lease on life last year after nearly closing its doors. The live music space assuredly won't be going anywhere these next few months, with the announcement of a massive slate of summer concerts.
Hugh's Room Live's inaugural Summer Nights Festival will bring 47 shows and close to 100 artists to the venue throughout June, July and August.
The venue promises "a wide-ranging program of international and local luminaries from the folk, blues, jazz and world music spectrum," including the Barra MacNeils, Shuffle Demons, David Bromberg, Bob Wiseman, Jenie Thai, Elizabeth Shepherd, Robi Botos, Aaron Davis, Paul Reddick, Ariana Gillis, Jon Brooks and Dayna Manning, among many others.
In addition to the venue's monthly Songwriting Sessions series, Summer Nights will also include a new series titled Solo Piano Double, which will feature a unique pairing of artists over a total of eight evenings.
Further details on individual shows can be found through Hugh's Room Live's official website.
