Toronto, it's time for your annual chance to catch some of the country's stars of tomorrow perform at the iconic Honey Jam for the organization's 29th concert showcase at TD Music Hall. This August 29, 16 emerging artists — young women from coast to coast — will perform, with CBC Music recording the show for a national broadcast set to air later this year on CBC Music Live.

Aashika, Cerae, Chloe Brodie, earth 2 tiffany, Elisha, Hybrid Tee, Kat Valentine, Kateryna Grace, Katrina Anastasia, Kiza, Margaret Williams, Nadia Haddad, Néhémie, Qimora Bergman, Rebecca Sichon and TT make up the 2024 lineup of singer-songwriters spanning a wide array of genres who have been selected from to take part in the Honey Jam Artist Development Program, which counts the likes of Nelly Furtado, Jully Black, Haviah Mighty, Melanie Fiona and LU KALA as alumni.

In addition to a performance from each selected artist, there will be two tribute performances: a group of Honey Jam alumni paying homage to Beyoncé's COWBOY CARTER, and 2022 alum Leah Holtom honouring the 30th anniversary of Sarah McLachlan's Fumbling Towards Ecstasy and her upcoming Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame induction. Hosted by CBC's Angeline Tetteh-Wayhoe, the concert will also have performances from 2020 alum MADLADY (f.k.a. Tyra Jutai), plus DJ Mel Boogie and Killa Kels.

"We're thrilled to present the 29th edition of Honey Jam, showcasing the incredible talent of female artists from Canada," founder Ebonnie Rowe said in a press release. "This year's concert promises to be a memorable experience, featuring an array of diverse artists ready to ignite the stage." Tickets are on sale now.

One lucky participant in this year's Honey Jam program will get a songwriting mentoring session with alum Anjulie and another will receive $2,500 from Yamaha Canada to put toward sound equipment, while all of the artists will receive promotion, gain exposure, and get the opportunity to develop their talents and connect with industry professionals and fellow emerging artists alike.
